Olivia Vasilescu Palmer
Associate
Olivia Vasilescu Palmer is an associate in the New York office of Reid Collins & Tsai. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Palmer was an associate at Milberg Weiss & Bershad, LLP, Dreier LLP, and Browne Woods George LLP. Ms. Palmer has extensive experience in all aspects of complex commercial and securities litigation, both in the US and abroad. Ms. Palmer was a key member of the litigation team in In re Vivendi Universal, S.A. Sec. Litig., No. 02 Civ. 5571 (RJH/HBP) (S.D.N.Y.), where she represented the lead plaintiffs and class representatives from the motion to dismiss phase of the litigation through trial. After a four-month jury trial in New York federal court, the case culminated in a favorable jury verdict that found Vivendi Universal S.A. liable for securities fraud.
Ms. Palmer graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2003. While in law school, she researched issues in securities and corporate law for several published papers on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and stock market failures. Ms. Palmer also served as Co-President of the Law Association for Women, and was a recipient of the Law School Pro Bono Award.
Ms. Palmer is also a native French speaker with dual US-Belgian citizenship.
Ms. Palmer is admitted to practice in the state courts in New York, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
