Sumit Shah
Associate
Sumit Shah is an associate at Reid Collins & Tsai. Prior to joining the firm, Sumit worked as an associate at the Washington, D.C. office of Covington & Burling LLP, where he had a regulatory practice focused on telecommunications and technology law.
Sumit received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2007, where he was a member of the TEXAS LAW REVIEW. His student note, Modding the Web: Secondary Liability Under Copyright and Web Modification Software in a Post-Grokster World, received the award for Best Intellectual Property Note and was published in Volume 85 of the law review. During law school, Sumit clerked in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia.
Sumit graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Management Science & Engineering with a concentration in Technology and Policy. After graduating from Stanford, Sumit worked at Google, Inc. before leaving for law school.
Sumit is licensed to practice law in Texas, California, and Washington D.C.
